The Association of Dermatology Administrators & Managers (ADAM) has been closely monitoring the pandemic and its impact on our dermatology community. With the recent cancelation of the AAD Winter Meeting, the concern over COVID-19 surges and shutdowns, restrictions on large group gatherings and travel, the ADAM Board of Directors and its management team at SAMI has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Annual Meeting in San Francisco. After carefully weighing meeting safety protocols as well as our duties to the our members, corporate partners and for other reasons beyond our control, we feel that this is the only option available to us. Additionally, we hold the health and safety of all our attendees, their communities and the patients they serve with the utmost importance.

Fortunately, however, ADAM is a small and nimble organization that is committed to furthering the education of our members and offering the necessary tools to navigate these difficult times. It is this dedication that we have decided to recreate a different engaging 2021 Annual Meeting Experience. I ask for your patience over the next month as our management team at SAMI continues to work and investigate what this may look like. We will keep all members and partners apprised of our plans to deliver the research, knowledge and expert insight they value from our meetings. My sincere hope is that many of you will be able to attend this new meeting experience for exclusive education and networking opportunities.

Please cancel your hotel booking with the San Francisco Hilton and any travel arrangements you may have made.

I want to thank you for your support as we work on a new 2021 ADAM Annual Meeting experience.

Sincerely,

Janice Smith
ADAM President
